The ‘The barn tells its own story” event confirmed the enthusiasm and interest of Italian breeders for innovation and growth in the livestock sector. On 18 February, at Zilio’s Farm, almost 500 breeders and industry professionals from all over Italy gathered for the Open Day organised by Storti, Alta, Boehringen, Due A and KWS. The large turnout and the interest shown by the participants confirmed how crucial it is to create moments of dialogue to face the challenges of the future together.

For us at Storti S.p.A., it was stimulating to take part in this initiative, offering farmers the opportunity to learn more about our product range with a special focus on the Dobermann Evo3, one of our flagship mixer wagons. A special in-depth discussion was dedicated to the quality of the mix, thanks to the intervention of Prof. Giulio Cozzi, from the Department of Animal Medicine, Production and Health, University of Padua, who elaborated on the importance of optimal TMR preparation to guarantee animal welfare and maximise production performance.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Family and to the Farm team of Zilio, who opened the doors of their premises, allowing the organisation of this open day, enabling participants to enjoy an immersive experience inside a state-of-the-art farm. In the afternoon, a round table discussion between the Italian and American breeding worlds provided insights into the management and results obtained within the farms.

The high number of participants and the active involvement during the day are proof of a dynamic livestock sector, attentive to innovation and ready to face new challenges with competence and determination.

Thanks to all those who participated and contributed to the success of “The barn tells its own story”!
