### Successful partnership: a visit of our Dutch and Belgian dealers to Storti
In the last few days we had the pleasure to host at our premises a group of Dutch and Belgian dealers, resellers of Storti mixer wagons, accompanied by our long-standing official importer for the Netherlands and Belgium, Farmstore BV. A valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration and share knowledge, experiences and strategies for the future.
The program of the visit was rich and varied. Our guests were able to visit our factory up close, touching the quality and innovation that characterize each Storti machine. There were also moments of training: through specific update webinars, we deepened the technical novelties and the perspectives of the European market, in a direct and constructive dialogue.
Another very interesting moment was the visit to the breeding farm of the Zilio Company in Villafranca Padovana, a state-of-the-art reality that uses our feed mixer wagons in the daily management of animals. It was a real opportunity to see Storti's solutions in action and to talk to those who use them every day in the field.
Of course, there was no lack of conviviality and discovery of the region. The dealers were able to visit the historic center of Verona and immerse themselves in the excellence of Italian cuisine and wine.
We sincerely thank Farmstore BV and all participants for their enthusiasm and interest. Their visit is a source of pride for us and an incentive for the future, while always maintaining the values that bind us to our partners around the world.

### ‘The barn tells its own story": a success the Open Day held at Zilio’s Farm
The ‘The barn tells its own story" event confirmed the enthusiasm and interest of Italian breeders for innovation and growth in the livestock sector. On 18 February, at Zilio’s Farm, almost 500 breeders and industry professionals from all over Italy gathered for the Open Day organised by Storti, Alta, Boehringen, Due A and KWS. The large turnout and the interest shown by the participants confirmed how crucial it is to create moments of dialogue to face the challenges of the future together.
For us at Storti S.p.A., it was stimulating to take part in this initiative, offering farmers the opportunity to learn more about our product range with a special focus on the Dobermann Evo3, one of our flagship mixer wagons. A special in-depth discussion was dedicated to the quality of the mix, thanks to the intervention of Prof. Giulio Cozzi, from the Department of Animal Medicine, Production and Health, University of Padua, who elaborated on the importance of optimal TMR preparation to guarantee animal welfare and maximise production performance.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Family and to the Farm team of Zilio, who opened the doors of their premises, allowing the organisation of this open day, enabling participants to enjoy an immersive experience inside a state-of-the-art farm. In the afternoon, a round table discussion between the Italian and American breeding worlds provided insights into the management and results obtained within the farms.
The high number of participants and the active involvement during the day are proof of a dynamic livestock sector, attentive to innovation and ready to face new challenges with competence and determination.
Thanks to all those who participated and contributed to the success of “The barn tells its own story”!

### HAMON, CAM 49 AND SAS FOURNIER: INCREASINGLY STRONG PARTNERSHIPS IN FRANCE
Storti S.p.A. is increasingly consolidating its presence in the north-west of France by reinforcing already existing agreements and commercial distribution arrangements in the Pay de la Loire region.
This project is driven by the presence in Bain-de-Bretagne of the Storti France office and aims at intensifying the presence in an area known to be rich in opportunities.
Not only that. In addition to strengthening Storti's competitive position with a wide range of TMR feed mixers, the consolidation also reflects the company's commitment to meeting the needs of its customers with fast and top quality after-sales services.
The words of three representatives of the dealers, Hamon, Cam 49 and SAS Fournier, all Valtra distributors, highlight some of the most significant features.
"We are Valtra dealers," says Mickael Benatre of SAS Fournier, "but we also represent other brands. Since 2013, a few months after I started managing the company founded by my uncle, we have been working with Storti. A business partnership that has become stronger and stronger over time".
Raynald Hamon echoes him: "We have three dealerships in the Loire-Atlantique department and have represented Valtra for more than 20 years. We have been working with Storti for about five months and it is a real opportunity for us to grow. Being able to offer Storti feed mixers is an enrichment of our fleet; Storti is a brand renowned for quality at work".
"Cam 49 is a family business," added Arnaud Housset, director of Comptoir Agricole des Mauges, "that I have been running since 2011, the year since we became a Valtra dealer. We have a wide range of partnerships with various manufacturers and with Storti we have had a more than established relationship for about 15 years".
A partnership that has been built day by day with great work and cooperation on both sides: "One of the strengths of this collaboration is the short distance, about 80 km, between our company and Storti's French subsidiary in Bain - de Bretagne," continued Arnaud Housset. "The advantage is also having a spare parts warehouse so close to us. The efficiency of the after-sales service, in terms of quality and speed, is extremely important and with Storti this aspect is handled in the best possible way".
"We also have the advantage of being close to Storti France," added Raynald Hamon, "so we have proximity for both after-sales service and spare parts service. These are renowned and well-known machines, built in a company with a strong sense of family and made up of very responsive people who offer a very wide range on the market."
"After 13 years of collaboration," concluded Mickael Benatre (SAS Fournier), "we can state a few things with absolute certainty. The first concerns the great reliability of Storti machines. A feature that is also greatly appreciated by CUMAs, cooperatives for the use of agricultural machinery. There is an important aspect, which says a lot about how much these machines are appreciated: farmers who buy a Storti machine usually come back to it later when they have to replace it. Then there is a second important aspect concerning the proximity of Storti France, which is based in Brittany, i.e. not even an hour's drive from our company. Finally, one last aspect concerns the technical-sales team. It is an efficient team that responds very quickly and with great competence even on non-working days: we have always received an answer to every question".

Fieragricola 2024, a unique meeting opportunity
The presence of Storti Spa at Fieragricola 2024 represents an opportunity for operators in the livestock sector to discover the latest innovations and the entire range of machines produced by the company in all its details. The Storti Spa stand, Hall 9 Booth D7, will be a reference point for those wishing to learn more about solutions for feed preparation and feeding in the barn using the TMR technique.

Dobermann, Husky and straw blower SB30, will be the three products on show at Fieragricola 2024. On display within the exhibition area dedicated to Storti will be a self-propelled with vertical mixing tank and a horizontal trailed feed mixers: visitors will have the opportunity to see the various types of machines and learn about their features; in addition, a special focus on the SB straw blower, a multi-purpose tool with a high standard of performance for the distribution of products for feed troughs and bedding. ### Storti renews its image
Some time ago, our company decided to invest in important projects to renew its image by better communicating its brand. In particular, we have focused our attention on three fundamental aspects: the new corporate image, new catalogues for the product range, which will be divided into horizontal mixer wagons, vertical mixer wagons and self-propelled mixer wagons, and the revision of our logo.
We worked closely with a design agency to create a fresh, modern corporate image. Our historic logo has been slightly revised and reworked, always accompanied by an iconic design that reflects our constant search for innovation and quality.
In addition, we have created new catalogues to present our products in a more attractive and user-friendly manner. We have added larger images and detailed descriptions of the features and functions of each product. We have emphasised the standard equipment and options available, as well as the flexibility of the product and the technologies that can be applied on it. These new catalogues reflect our constant search for innovation and our ability to offer customers the most advanced solutions. The first catalogue produced, the one for trailed horizontal cutter-blender wagons, is available here for download.
As already mentioned, we have revised our logo to make it more modern and recognisable. We have retained the distinctive elements of the original one, but have updated them to make them more contemporary and suitable for the digital age. Our new logo has a design that makes it more easily identifiable and memorable, combined with our tagline 'Excellence since 1956', which emphasises the historicity and solidity of our company.
Combined with the logo or on its own you will often find our claim 'IN LOVE WITH FEEDING' greeting you from the pages of our catalogues or from those of our website, which encapsulates the elements of passion and devotion to our and your work that set us apart.
We are very excited to present our new corporate image, new catalogues and revised logo to our customers and partners around the world. These updates represent an important step forward for our company and will help us strengthen our market presence and reach new customers. We are confident that our new corporate image, our new catalogues and our revised logo will be a competitive advantage for us. Those who are receiving one of our new wagons these months will be able to discover some of these improvements for themselves as they are also visually adopted with the new stickers for all our machines.
However, we will not stop there. We will continue to invest in new technologies and innovative solutions to help our customers achieve their goals. We are also committed to constantly improving our after-sales service and to offering a high-quality shopping experience to all our customers.
In summary, our new corporate image, new catalogues and revised logo are just the beginning of our quest for innovation and more effective brand communication. We are confident that these changes will help us achieve our goals and maintain our position as a leader in our industry. We are ready to face the challenges of the future and provide our customers with the most reliable and advanced solutions.
### Merry Christmas 2022
“There is no ideal Christmas; only the one Christmas you decide to make as a reflection of your values, desires, affections, traditions.”
Bill McKibben
The Storti family, together with the Storti S.p.A team, would like to express gratitude to all those who, with their daily work and commitment, contribute to confirm the company's growth path and make the brand an excellence of the sector: to collaborators, employees, customers and dealers our heartfelt thanks.
To all of you and your families our sincerest wishes for a Merry Christmas and a New Year 2023 full of Peace, Hope and Joy.
### After-sales and refurbishment of used mixer wagons
Managing the after-sales process is a very important aspect on the management front and not only: after-sales information, in fact, also gives many indications on commercial performance.
In general, knowing everything that happens after the sale can be a great opportunity for the company as well as providing the customer with the perception of a high quality service.
Service activities, installation, maintenance, support and replacements: even after the sale, the customer must be satisfied.
Allocating resources to manage after-sales, setting up a correct strategy to handle non-conformities and finding the right service solutions are crucial activities for small, medium and large companies.
In fact, Storti SpA offers this service not only as a general after-sales service after the purchase of a mixer wagon and all that it entails, but also gives the all-round possibility of refurbishing a used mixer wagon.
The company pays particular attention to the topics of 'reuse' 'repair' and 'recycle'. We conducted a brief interview with a colleague, Nicola Marconi, who deals with this subject.
When asked what kind of refurbishment is done in the case of used mixer wagons, he replies that machines sold under warranty are refurbished in compliance with the regulations in force. The repair is done for both the mechanical part and the worn parts, which are replaced with new parts.
The hydraulic part, e.g. pumps, are also recalibrated and tested, and the electrical system is reconditioned if necessary. Obviously, everything is done with an eye to safety regulations and ongoing updates.
Turning then to the aesthetic part of the mixer wagon, Storti offers the added value of internal painting, to perfect the final part of painting and polishing once the repair has been completed in all its parts.
The colleague also adds that not only Storti refurbishes its own used vehicles but also those of our competitors, offering them an all-round service as well, giving them the possibility of a mixer wagon for hire during the necessary repair time.
Certainly, good 'after-sales' practices trigger loyalty, repaying the commitment with new sales, and widening the circle of trust to other customers by promoting positive word-of-mouth, and Storti has hit the mark in this respect.
### Storti and Farmstore: a successful combination projected into the future
On 20 and 21 May, we had the privilege of joining the Farmstore team to celebrate important milestones over the years.
Farmstore was founded 25 years ago by Adriaan and Anita van den Berg. Here at Storti, we remember well that summer day when Adriaan, sitting in the office with Paolo Storti, was planning to start his own business after the Van Gemert company, where he worked, had gone out of business. From his audacity and brilliant entrepreneurial mind, Van Den Berg Farmstore BV was born and has continued to grow over the years to the present day.
25 years ago, Hans Peters began his collaboration with Farmstore: for 25 years, together with Anita and Adriaan, he has worked for the company with passion and enthusiasm, contributing to its success and prosperity.
But above all, the celebrations focused on an important handover: that between Adriaan and Anita van den Berg in favour of Wilko Jilissen and its business partner Erik Lanting, with the updating of the company name to Farmstore BV.
Adriaan and Anita planned in the best possible way when and how they would say goodbye to their creature, now grown up and able to continue on its way. They carefully chose to whom they would hand it over, based on an affinity of values and ethical goals that once again confirmed their depth and fairness.
Now they can enjoy travel, leisure and family, serene in thinking about the future of Farmstore, which moved from Bleskensgraaf to the new, larger building in Cuijk at the beginning of 2022, and the whole team is ready to give maximum support to its customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The path we have travelled together has been beautiful, challenging, full of satisfaction, difficult moments overcome thanks to the common spirit of commitment and cooperation: Storti is ready to face the future together with the Farmstore partners, thanking Adriaan and Anita van den Berg for what they have shared and full of enthusiasm for what the future will hold together with the new team.

### Storti's horizontal and vertical mixer wagons at Fieragricola 2022
This year, after a 2-year break due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Storti Spa took part in Fieragricola, one of the most expected exhibition events in the Italian agricultural panorama, an important opportunity to meet professionals and all agriculture lovers.
Taking part in Fieragricola allows us to be close to the end user, a factor that is increasingly important today in order to build a solid and reciprocal bond. On the one hand we have the opportunity to understand how market needs are evolving, and on the other we can learn how best to meet the needs of the farmers who choose us.
A feedback of the trade show?
The feedback of the trade show is certainly a positive one as far as our sector is concerned. There was a great turnout from the point of view of the market users, all our dealers were present in an important way as well as many of our customers.
For this edition Storti has created a winning format, thanks to the collaboration with “Verona Fiere”, giving away about 4000 free tickets to all the people interested in visiting us. We have collected many testimonials of thanks, we mention some of them:
"Only the best are on the market, congratulations."
"You are a great company! Made in Italy forever"
"You are the best in terms of reliability and experience, well done".
"Great job by the company in the field of mixer wagons".
"Very nice company I have had the opportunity to see your exceptional vehicles".
What's new about us?
Storti presented the top of the range, the Dobermann Evo2 SW AS 220 self-propelled cutter mixer wagon with all the updates of the stage V engine and the novelty of the shredder which allows a precise and fast cut.
"A particular note is for the Fiber Pickup System (Fps) which, as part of the loading system capable of reaching a height of 5.70 metres, loads the products quickly while respecting the integrity of the fibres". During the loading process, the new Fps mill cuts the product with a series of knives, responding to the demands of the South European market, where it is preferred to prepare rations with dry fibre and short-cut material".
Since Storti has a complete range of all mixing technologies, Fieragricola was the occasion to present the Dogo MT 220 cutter-mixer wagon: this is a large-capacity horizontal wagon, for large farms that want to remain with horizontal mixing, particularly suitable for the preparation of compact feeding.
"Dogo offers multi-flow mixing, made possible by the lower auger that cuts and mixes the product by pushing it towards the front of the bin, and the two upper augers that push the product back."
Also exhibiting at Fieragricola, with a booth next to Storti S.p.A, Ecofarm Storti with its range of products selected to obtain enormous benefits in agriculture, horticulture and fruit-growing and in zootechnics to increase animal welfare.
What is Storti's winning formula for the future, also based on its experience at Fieragricola?
Our winning formula over the years has been maximum attention to customers and maximum support for the distribution network, because a brand is only as strong as its network. Storti will certainly pay more attention to the needs of a market that is changing and that presents us with great opportunities.
### MERRY CHRISTMAS 2021...
Christmas is approaching and as every year for all of us, this date certainly brings to mind two important considerations, the family and the year that has passed.
For Storti, the family is the cornerstone of life, it is an indispensable link from which to draw all the energy needed to face its commitments to the full, it is that group of people who together can make a difference, create, imagine new scenarios to continue to succeed in its sector.
The Storti family as the head of Storti SpA, is grateful to all those who work and strive for the success of the company, and as every Christmas renews its most sincere wishes to all its collaborators, employees, dealers and customers who make the brand an excellence in the sector.
As for the year that has passed, the consideration is that without this large united family, great successes could not have been achieved in a 2021 that continued to suffer from the problems generated by the still ongoing pandemic. We remember with enthusiasm the restart of the trade fairs in attendance: Bologna was a great emotion and now all organisational efforts are aimed at the first trade fair of the new year.
A new year that will start right in the area where Storti has had its Christmases: in January there will be Fieragricola in Verona and we like to think that we can be together with you to start 2022 with enthusiasm and optimism.
To all of you a special wish:
"May the Christmas season be full of emotions, of attention to those who live and work with us and may the new year bring much serenity and health, to be the protagonists of the redemption and recovery".
On behalf of the Management and the Storti family, a special thank you to the workers and all the Italian and foreign staff for standing by us and sharing with us successes and critical moments.
Best wishes!
### EIMA: the great return
The great return. The Bologna Exhibition Centre finally reopens its doors to its major events and welcomes back the 44th edition of Eima International after the pandemic nightmare more than a year and a half, the great exhibition dedicated to agricultural machinery. As soon as you set foot in the pavilions of the exhibition centre, the atmosphere is immediately one of optimism and restart.
You can hear English, Spanish, German and other languages being spoken, you can see the products and touch them with your own hands, you can meet people, talk face to face (even if always with a mask), “shake hands”. A trade fair that is physiologically and inevitably downsized in terms of numbers, after the wounds left by Covid: but despite everything, it is not the time for negative balances, but to look to the future. Eima 2021 underlines the importance of an extremely high-tech sector: agriculture plays a fundamental role in economic and industrial progress and operators in this sector, like Storti, are the protagonists and nowadays, more than ever, agricultural machinery plays an essential role as the event testified. Not only the number of visitors was remarkable, but also the quality of the audience, mostly composed by economic operators, interested in new products and in the purchase of technologies suitable for the most different agricultural contexts.
This edition of Eima was a great opportunity for Storti to strengthen its presence as a leader in a continuously growing and developing sector. The most innovative self-propelled wagon of our company was physically present to underline how much Storti pays attention to the need of final customers or distributors.
In fact, this attitude has attracted many distributors of the brand, both Italian and from all over the world, to participate in the Bologna Kermesses and they have been welcomed by Storti with the usual enthusiasm and dynamism that has always distinguished our company.
Storti Management and Van Den Berg Farmstore BV management
Ecofarm, part of Storti S.p.A., was also present working in the zootechnical world to research innovative solutions improving farm profitability and food quality (milk, derivatives, meat...) and in these last years it has found excellent results in horticulture, open field agriculture and fruit farming.
This exciting air of restart together with the continuous and careful research for improvements has brought to Storti also potential "new customers", interested in evaluating and trying our new products and solutions.
### The turning point for Storti service with the new automated warehouse
Nowadays, corporate communication is considered a fundamental strategic lever for creating and strengthening the relationship of trust that is established with those who purchase its products or services; but not only! Corporate communication plays an important role also in the company's relationship with the internal customer, represented by employees and collaborators. That's why for Storti it is fundamental to take care of the internal communication and look for ways to increase the involvement of all the people within the company, using as a good marketing strategy also the gadgets.
(With the start of the new year, Storti proposes a series of exclusive and high quality personalised garments, also available for sale on our website. We have tried to take care of every detail with particular attention to our new Brand.
The new brand, as for Storti's tradition, has undergone further changes at the production level in order to further improve the quality of the final product of our company.
For this reason, Storti has equipped itself with a new automated vertical warehouse for our service, capable of picking and storing material of different sizes, weights, heights and volumes. The warehouse contains spare parts for service, as well as products and consumables for distribution and sales. The advantages of this investment for Storti are space saving, traceability and availability of products, safety for goods and operators and picking speed; it is also able to manage material (it has also enabled the management of material) and user master data, production orders, stock levels and dedicated reports for a better stock control).
With this innovation, Storti service team has been able to optimise operations and improve efficiency towards its customers. Once again, Storti not only proves to listen to and take care of its customers needs, but above all guarantees a continuous improvement of work quality throughout the network of employees and partners.
### Storti S.p.A.: Our Dunker Vertical Trailed Range
Like every machine in our range, our vertical trailed mixer wagons have a dog's name to represent them: Dunker.
The range is divided into three macro-categories: T1 - T2 - T3 and ranges from the Dunker T1 80S, 8m³ up to the largest Dunker T3 440L, 44m³.
The number 1, 2 or 3 identifies how many augers the machine has, while the letter S, M or L identifies the diameter of the tank and augers: S Small, R Reduce, M Medium, L Large or Split, the bolted version of which we have discussed in another News dedicated mainly to exports outside Europe.
Here in details the entire possible combination of the Dunker range:
Vertical with 1 Auger
Dunker T1 80-100-120 S
Dunker T1 80-100-120 R
Dunker T1 80-100-120 Split
Dunker T 1 120-140-170-200 L
Vertical with 2 Augers
Dunker T2 140-160-180-210-240 S
Dunker T2 180-220-250 M
Dunker T2 240-270-300-330 L
Dunker T2 180 Split
Vertical with 3 Augers
Dunker T3 300 S
Dunker T3 360-400-440 L
The entire trailed range of Dunker is also available in a stationary version with electric motor; in this case we have two different versions: one dedicated to animal feeding and one for Biogas. Both can now also count on a Dunker T3 600, 60m³ version.
Our mixer wagons come from here! From a dynamic and specialised team with a lot of experience.
Apart from all these specifications, our Dunker mixer wagons come from a continuous development in order to achieve ever better TMR quality targets and a soft and attractive mix.
The design of the tank, augers and knives is therefore the result of experience and continuous testing in different markets and conditions.
To make any model in the range as flexible as possible and to meet all requirements, there are practically infinite solutions available in terms of the number and positioning of the discharge doors, direct or with belts, front, rear or side.
Further customisations are possible by adding cameras or lights, rather than different types of magnets or long-lasting solutions such as stainless steel coatings for augers or tank walls.
Special applications such as, for example, movable covers to reduce dust or systems for adding molasses or water are another example of the company's continuous development and dialogue with the market.
You can look for further information on our website at www.storti.com or ask your nearest Storti dealer for more details and maybe a test of the model that best suits your needs to experience all the advantages of a Storti Dunker!
Good work to everyone!

### Storti France: the opinion and testimony of a french customer
France, since the times of the first Dessilcar and Cocker, has always represented for Storti Spa an important market with a great potential. With the passing of time, the turnover and the solid commercial relations built up, have had as a natural outlet the creation of a branch, Storti France.
Storti S.p.a. has chosen Brittany, the beating heart of French animal husbandry, as the location for its headquarters. Our offices and warehouses are located in Bain de Bretagne: from there our colleagues, technicians and salesmen leave every day to go to customers and dealers all over the country.
Recently, one of our collaborators, Mr Nicolas Moron, sent us an interview with a company customer, the full text of which is given below. We believe that hearing the opinion of a dairy farmer may be of interesting to all those who follow the news on the Storti website from all over the world!
"Let me introduce myself: I am Frédéric Meunier, co-manager of the GAEC farm in La Pépinière. On the farm, I am mainly involved in breeding. We are located in Saint Aubin de Bonneval, 61470, an area known as "La pépinière" (in English "The Garden").
The farm has 450 animals in total, 140 in milking, 110 beef cattle and 200 heifers. For dairy cows we cooperate with a local cheese factory while for the beef cattle with a local butcher’s shop. Since 2012 we also have a biogas plant.
Our experience with Storti mixer wagons began with a horizontal Setter 8m³ with silage cutter, then we switched to a self-propelled Dunker SV 140 in 2007 and since February 2021 we have had a self-propelled Dobermann SW 160 AS.
Until today, this new machine has 100 working hours, which means a daily use of about one and a half hours per day.
At that time, our choice for a Storti was recommended by the company's consultant and because of the good relationship with the local Storti dealer. Since then, we have always had Storti feed mixer wagons.
The purchase of the first Storti machine allowed us to introduce different products in the mixes (fibre, grass silage, maize, feeds). We are now on our third Storti mixer wagon (one trailed and two self-propelled) and have saved a lot of time over the years, gained in comfort, improved mixing quality and top driving pleasure. The self-propelled Dobermann twin auger allows us to prepare mixes of small quantities of products, up to 300 kg. The layout of the controls in the cab adapts to each product that needs to be loaded, regardless of the functionality selected. Finally, the design of the rear discharge allows us not to step on the TMR with the wheels when passing through the manger.
In case of problems we can rely on the local dealer, SAMA, and of course on Storti's service. We are very satisfied with the service. As proof of this our mixers have been working every day for last 10 years, which confirms that our initial choice for Storti was the right one.
The only defect we have noticed on the machine is the long time it takes to change the camera from "reverse" to "bowl" mode.
We currently consume 9 litres of fuel per hour, which is very reasonable for a machine of this type and size.
With this machine we have been able to improve our intermediate ration between the end of the silo and the new silo by incorporating fibre without affecting the herd. "
From Mr Meunier's story, emerge the main strengths of Storti the self-propelled mixer wagons:
the powerful loading fresa arm, equipped with the FPS system, which enables the correct balance of force and respect for the structure of the different ingredients;
the great advantage of the MecDrive mechanical transmission, which combines simplicity and power with considerable fuel savings.
You can find our articles on the FPS cutter and MecDrive transmission at this link.
We would like to thank Mr Meunier very much for his testimony, which allowed us to travel for a few minutes to a farm in Normandy, France.

### Export in Storti's DNA
(Dunker T1 and T2 Split developed with an eye on export.)
Storti has always had a strong vocation for export and has been a pioneer in many markets, including emerging ones. Like many Italian industrial companies, we are proud to export our "Made in Italy" technology to 50 countries around the world, but above all to build stable and lasting relationships with importers and customers who have continued to renew their trust in us for many years.
Thanks to them we have been able to carve out a space for ourselves even in emerging markets, adapting our range to their logistics need.
For example, we have developed a range of vertical trailed feed mixers with a sectional bolt-on tank so that part of the side walls can be removed and their volume can be optimised for loading into containers.
This has given our importers a competitive advantage and allowed us to achieve excellent export targets.
The Dunker T1 and T2 Split range of feed mixers are an example of this because, in addition to the bolt-on mixing tank we have already mentioned, they have also been fitted with high-flotation wheels to ensure a stable ride even on rough and muddy terrain typical of some developing countries.
Quality and flexibility are certainly the winning features of a small pocket-sized multinational like Storti.
### 1956 - 2021 65 years of industrial growth, research and development
It was 1956 when STORTI S.P.A. was founded; the company was born in the countryside of Verona - Italy, precisely in Belfiore (VR); always dedicated to the production of machines for animal feeding using the TMR technology, it has made technological development and the ability to create uniqueness suited to every market need its strong points; this attitude, always aimed at technological, industrial development and quality improvement, has led to the distribution of more than 40,000 machines over the years, also thanks to an organisation capable of using advanced management, design and production tools. Needless to say, that from 2009 to date, around 10,000 machines have been introduced to the market.
It is with pride, innovation, team spirit and an eye always projected towards future developments that today, in 2021, a pandemic year, STORTI can count as many as 160 configurations among its products.
In fact, it is enough to think how different the geographical areas are only in Italy, let alone all over the world, where STORTI's distribution network has been able to reach more than 40 countries. During our long history, important industrial agreements have been sealed, of which 8 OEM and Technology Transfers.
Just like a tailor who creates a perfectly fitting suit not only to enhance the style but above all the beauty and uniqueness of the wearer, so have STORTI been able to adapt an extremely effective and high-performance product to every different requirement.
When we talk about diversity between geographical areas, we cannot avoid thinking of different types of farms, which have completely customised structural requirements and management dynamics. STORTI has been able to develop technology, configurations and products that have achieved goals otherwise unthinkable.
Being able to make a product grow around the customer's needs and not by making the customer adapt to the product has only been possible because at the helm of this solid company there has always been a family. A family that, in addition to achieving professional merits, now recognised all over the world, have been able to transmit values of uniqueness, perseverance, resilience and trust to all its collaborators and employees, thus bringing out the best of everyone one and creating a team where each actor is a leader in his own way and for his own personality. STORTI have been able to give confidence to its Dealers, importers and subsidiaries, allowing a considerable increase in exports, which today account for 70% of their turnover.
The ITALIAN WAY has been one of the most envied, recognized, heritage for generations around the world. That ability to achieve success through unique paths, creating, developing, producing with passion and, why not, even with a touch of madness; that madness needed to invest in order to always guarantee a prosperous future full of satisfaction. STORTI can count on the registration of more than 40 important patents in the livestock industry.
Looking at the future with confidence, without forgetting where you come from is one of the mottos chosen to celebrate 65 years of STORTI. By revamping in 2021, the year of the company's birthday, one of the most popular product names of the past, the BOXER (which together with Pluto and Bulldog) has traced the successes of one of the leading companies in the world of self-propelled machines.
This is STORTI: a UNIQUE past...a STRONG present...a future to be WRITTEN TOGETHER...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
### Boxer: Storti new horizontal range
Since many years Storti philosophy to the different mixing technologies available in the market has be neutral, meaning the feed mixer is a complex machine and choosing the right one is not following a preconception or following a fashion.
In our opinion it is important to focus on the needs of the customer, which products are used, his or her expectation and the loading organisation in the farm.
So, to the simple question, is better a horizontal or a vertical… we cannot give a direct or arbitrary reply, but rather understand several aspects which might lead us to the right choice.
For this reason, Storti feed mixer range is one the widest in the market and includes horizontal trailed machines with 1, 2 or 3 augers from 5 to 28m³ with or without rear milling cutter arm and vertical trailed machines with 1, 2 or 3 augers from 8 to 44m³, without mentioning Self-propelled machines of both technologies.
This is a unique value of this Company, to support the concept that when choosing the right mixer several aspects should be weighed and not bending to some passing fashion or restricted ideas.
Here below we are going to describe the new model in our range, the Boxer, a twin horizontal auger feed mixer which replaces and enlarge the Akita and Marmix models.
So, why choosing such a technology?... which are the main characteristics of these machines?
First, like all horizontal machines, this model guarantees a fast and precise cut thanks to its number of knives on the two counter-movement bottom augers which can be regulated by selecting a full or half-full set of knives per auger.
Then the modified shape of the tank increases the speed and quality of the discharge now more constant and precise on both sides lowering the power requested and improving consequently the life of the machine thanks also to an increased thickness of the bottom.
The transmission has been completely revised, the sealing internally in the tank has been improved with new bearings and anti-dust gaskets in the front wall, the chain system has been modified and now it is also possible to add oil bath system for the bigger models from 18-21-24m³.
The new range is available in:
MT (only mixer): 7-9-12-15-18-21-24m³
DS (with milling cutter): 7-9-12-15-18m³
The DS version, with the rear milling cutter, allows a precise loading process thanks also to a newly redesigned rotor, now up to 1800mm wide which is very careful in respecting the fibre and the CE regulations without compromise for the safety of the operator.
Boxer MT e Boxer DS
This type of horizontal machine is also specially designed for the loading of round bales dry or wrapped having this twin but with counter movement set of bottom augers and for discharging simultaneously on both sides.
For all the above, this new range of Boxer is a very versatile and compact feed mixer which will impress and satisfy several needs and special requests of our customers.
Contact us for a DEMO in your farm, it will be our pleasure to show you this machine and demonstrate all its advantages!

### How to prepare the perfect tmr? Use a Storti feed mixer wagon
WHAT IS TMR?
"TMR (Total Mixed Ration): is a method of feeding dairy cattle. The purpose of feeding a TMR diet is that each cow can consume the required level of nutrients in each bite. A cow's ration should include good quality forages, a balance of grains and proteins, vitamins and minerals. (Source Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia).
The TMR, so called in Anglo-Saxon countries, has for years been recognized as the best way to combine animal welfare, optimal management of resources and profitability of farms.
Implementing TMR, compared to the so-called traditional technique, requires preparation and study by farmers, often assisted by veterinary nutritionists for the formulation of diets suitable for cattle. The preparation of TMR requires the use of advanced and reliable tools, such as a feed mixer, which produces the perfect mix, and a weighing system to help the operator comply with the doses indicated in the herd recipes.
FEED MIXER WAGONS: INDISPENSABLE TOOLS FOR THE PREPARATION OF TMR
Storti mixer wagons are equipped with different models of weighing systems: from the basic one with manual setting, to the most sophisticated one, with the possibility of transferring loading and unloading recipes to a software interface, from which data and statistics useful for company management can be obtained.
All Storti weighing systems have been developed in close collaboration with our suppliers, trying to maximise the performance of the mixer.
STORTI DNA: ON BOARD RAW MATERIAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM
The search for the perfect TMR led us to the development of Storti DNA, a sophisticated system that allows us to analyse the nutritional characteristics of feed by using NIR - Near Infrared technology. Storti DNA is mounted on the silage cutter of our self-propelled mixer wagons and, during the loading operations, it analyses various parameters, such as dry matter, starch, protein, ash, ADF, NDF and raw fats.
Analysing the food during the loading operations is very important as it triggers adjustments in a predictive manner and not when the food is already mixed, ensuring that the dry matter target is reached with precision. The quantity of any component of the recipe is then recalculated based on the real dry matter measured by the Storti DNA sensor; the operator receives a warning on the weighing screen during loading indicating that the quantity has been adjusted based on the analysis, and can voluntarily or automatically accept the new quantity, thus maintaining full control of the load.
The other nutritional parameters will be recorded and will form the basis for the veterinary nutritionist's diet analysis.
Our mixer wagons are high-tech hardware and software tools which can allow farmers to benefit from the Industry 4.0 Tax Credit Scheme (Italy only).
STORTI FEED MIXER WAGONS AND INDUSTRY 4.0
The expression Industry 4.0 appeared in Italy for the first time in 2016.
It is a package of incentives and tools that aim at creating a favourable context to help Italian companies seize the opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution; it covers all aspects of the life cycle of companies that want to increase competitiveness, offering support in equipment investment, digitisation of production processes, enhancement of workers' productivity, specific skill training programs and development of new products and processes. Hyper Depreciation, Super Depreciation, Tax Credit in Research and Development and a simplified regulatory framework for start-ups and innovative SMEs.
For the whole of 2020, in order to support and encourage agricultural and industrial companies to invest in new tangible and intangible assets, a new system based on Tax Credits has been launched.
The Tax Credits can be applied both to products with ordinary technology and to products with 4.0 technology. As far as the Storti mixer wagons are concerned, the following models are included:
Self-propelled;
Trailed;
Stationary;
Software.
The software for the management of the cloud feeding system with assistance is invoiced at a net price of Euro 1,530.00. Storti also offers free training on the use of the software, accompanied by a certificate of participation. All this is certified by a sworn expert valuation to ensure our customers that our machines comply with the legal parameters for obtaining the tax credit.
4.0 technology goods can take advantage of tax benefits from the moment the machine is interconnected to the company systems.

### Storti mixer wagons, 85 % dust reduction during tmr preparation
Tired of eating dust? Avoid breathing dust with the new Storti cover for feed mixer wagons.
The functional and fast mobile cover eliminates the problem of dust during TMR preparation.
If a beginner observes the preparation of a TMR ration, the first comment he will make might be: "How much dust!"; as a matter of fact it is almost unavoidable to produce a huge amount of dust while preparing TMR, especially at the beginning while loading and processing dry products.
Dust infiltrates almost everywhere causing a long list of problems:
Increased maintenance and filter cleaning
Fire hazard because of dry dust sitting on hot surfaces (such as engine, exhaust, and ignition points)
Dirty yards and courtyards
Complaints from neighbours as dust goes in their houses
If the farmer lives near the barns, dust will reach his house too
Problems to photovoltaic systems on the barn rooftops, the panels covered with dust lose a lot of efficiency, and need to be cleaned frequently
Dust affecting other appliances such as compressors, fans, electrical panels
Finally, the health issue: inhaling dust has an effect on the upper airways of both animals and humans.
To provide an answer to this problem, Storti has studied a new covering system, partially borrowed from the automotive industry. The system is similar to what is normally mounted on tipper trucks transporting loose materials, such as the ones for agricultural use.
This solution is available for both trailed and self-propelled models and allows you to quickly close the mixing tank after loading the components, avoiding the dust cloud that is released during mixing.
The steel rope system is a mature and tested solution even in construction industry vehicles and in quarries, where stresses are much more violent than in agricultural applications.
The cover can be hydraulically operated from the tractor or from the self-propelled cab with the possibility of adding a remote control to be used from a telescopic or external loader.
Our first cover installation is more than 2 years old and it was carried out for a farm in Reggio Emilia that produces milk for the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium. This type of TMR is made mainly of dry products. The farmer registered a reduction of dust around 85%.
If you are tired of eating dust, contact our sales network to install the dust cover designed by Storti on your feed mixer wagon.
### Silage cutter with FPS system and Mech Drive, Mechanical transmission to the mixing tank
Storti Spa: FPS e Mech Drive, tecnologie uniche e vincenti
Storti Spa: FPS and Mech Drive, unique and winning technologies
What makes a Storti self-propelled feed mixer different from all the others?
A Storti feed mixer has many distinctive features, whether it is trailed or self-propelled; horizontal or vertical.
Among these features, two are definitely unique when talking about self-propelled machines:
Silage cutter with FPS system
Mech Drive, Mechanical transmission to the mixing tank
The FPS (Fiber Pick-up System), a standard feature on our self-propelled range of mixers, was born many years ago from one of Mr Ottorino Storti’s inventions and then developed by our technical department.
The first machines to use a similar loading system were the horizontal trailed mixer feeders, where the silage cutter was operating at the rear of the wagon.
Over the years, Storti has looked for a solution combining the needs of our customers from all over the world and different components to be loaded onto the wagon: this is how the self-propelled silage loading system was created.
Today the FPS, continuously improved and updated, is applied as standard on all of our self-propelledi wagons.
The main advantages of this system are:
The cutter adapts to any product to be loaded by selecting the direction of the silage cutter drum rotation, clockwise or anticlockwise.
Maximum power and efficiency thanks to a dedicated hydraulic transmission
Upper counter-blade used in case of loading hay or long products, to be cut by selecting the clockwise direction
Screw conveyor located in an offset position behind the silage cutter drum, for direct and fast loading to the conveyor belt, avoiding blockages, loss of time and continuous product recycling, typical of spiral designed silage cutters.
Bolted knives with tungsten coating, over the entire circumference of the cutter rotor, for fast and efficient loading, to respect fiber structure and avoid rotor blockages.
Additional strengths complete this unique equipment:
Widest loading conveyor on the market
Open cage rollers, easier to clean and more reliable
Standard stainless-steel silage cutter rotor frame designed to withstand the attack of the typical silage acidity.
Rotor, conveyor auger and cutter arm frame available in stainless steel as an option
Excellent visibility from the cab thanks to lowered engine position
The Mech Drive system, on the other hand, consists of a mechanical transmission that runs directly from the diesel engine through a gearbox, a clutch, and a PTO shaft to the mixer.
This technology, standard on the whole range of our self-propelled mixer wagons, offers very important advantages:
Reduction of approximately 20-25% of fuel consumption compared to self-propelled with hydraulic transmission to the mixing augers (comparison made with same working conditions)
Significantly lower maintenance costs, not having to deal with a complex and expensive hydraulic system.
Lower running costs due to longer maintenance intervals, fewer components involved: that is why Storti has a 50% smaller hydraulic tank compared to its competitors
Possibility to have the same power even after many hours of work, no hydraulic oil overheating, guaranteeing a homogeneous and precise mixing and constant working times without having to count on forced stops to cool the circuit down.
Thanks to the engine positioned in the front of the machine in a lowered position, Storti design guarantees optimal visibility in all conditions, while mixing or driving on the road; we kept external overall dimensions small, offering one of the best wheelbases between the two axles available on the market; delivering excellent maneuverability, higher than average loading capacity, efficient and constant rear traction.
If you have never tried one of our machines, you should!... we will be pleased to show you these and more technical features of our feed mixer wagons!
Have a good work, everyone!
Storti S.p.A.
### New feed storage solutions for a quality TMR
Healthy feed and clean water are fundamental for a proper nutrition also for ruminants.
With this guideline in mind, in the case of silage fodder for cattle feed, unfortunately, bunkers are not always built and used in the best possible way. A good silage bunker must limit its feed content within the walls, be well compacted, sealed with a good cover and an adequate weight load. Its correct sizing is also fundamental for the correct progression of the silage front, as well as for the correct use of the silage loader of the mixer wagon.
It is fundamental to pursue the optimization of the nutritional values of each individual product loaded into the mixer wagon for the preparation of the ration. Today we know for sure that, although many people adopt some good practices, only a few manage to contain losses of Dry Matter below 10%.
Several studies indicate how a good maize silage bunker should have a density of at least 700 kg/m3, but this parameter is respected by less than 50% of Italian farms. The presence of insufficient compaction or the use of unsuitable equipment opens the door to a rapid and deep penetration of air into the biomass causing the proliferation of aerobic fermentation by undesirable and, in many cases, toxic microorganisms. The use of these decidedly unhealthy forages, which in some cases are also "hot", has negative consequences for the animals both in terms of milk production (increased risk of mastitis) and in terms of health (lameness) and reproduction (poor fertility).
Is it therefore possible to do something to improve the quality of the fodder stored using the classic methods now used in almost all of Europe? An interesting answer to this question is the high-density conservation system implemented by compactors such as those manufactured by ORKEL.
Thanks to the very high density of the product (plus 30 to 40% compared to a good bunker) and the elimination of oxygen and inevitable fermentations, it is possible to optimize the conservation of all fresh fodder and guarantee better performances.
This technology offers a series of operational and nutritional advantages:
Simplifies harvesting and storage operations, being flexible and versatile
Optimizes the management of the bunkers and above all allows a correct sizing and filling
Produces wrapped bales that can be stored in the open air and can be easily moved by farm-available machinery for loading into the mixer wagon
When good quality fodder is collected in the field, it guarantees its optimal conservation with minimum losses of Dry Matter (from 1 to 3%) enhancing its nutritional features and better results in the production and quality of milk or meat.
The high compaction level ensures a very stable product at the time of opening the bale which, even in the hottest periods, heats up very little, keeping the animals’ appetite and TMR intake unchanged throughout the year.
It is precisely the stability and size of the high-density bale that perfectly matches the loading phase, whether in a horizontal trailed or self-propelled mixer wagon with silage cutter for a fast and precise operation or with a bucket in a vertical trailed mixing wagon.
No product waste, reduced feeding costs and better control of feed management in the barn.
Work smart in the fields this summer!
### COMPACT FEEDING: The Storti Proposal
One of the greatest difficulties encountered daily by dairy farmers in the trough is the constant selection of what is most appetising for the animals with important direct consequences on animal health, milk production and in general the need for an efficient management control.
Compact Feeding seems to offer a solution to prevent selection. But what exactly is Compact Feeding and how does it work in practice?
Compact feeding may seem like just a matter of adding water to the ration with the idea that “it doesn't hurt to try”. But it's much more than just adding water. It is a form of TMR (Total Mixed Ration) feeding where all the cows in a group have unlimited access to a ration that has been mixed so well that they cannot select (even when the feed dries out over the course of the day) and each bite has the same composition.
Mixing according to the "compact feeding principle" takes place in three stages:
First mix: soaking the dry concentrate components in water
Central mix: adding structure
Final mix: adding corn
Compact TMR feeding technology has been in use for many years and of course there are supporters and opponents of this principle. Also known as a single plate, in Italy, it is the technique that involves the preparation of all the ingredients carefully mixed thanks to a chopper-mixer in a single step. This involves the simultaneous intake of all the food components of the ration and the management, not of a single animal, but of a group of homogeneous animals. The proponents are convinced of the advantages of the Compact TMR protocol and see an increase in production and an improvement in the health of their livestock.
Opponents argue that Compact TMR feeding is too labour intensive, as the costs outweigh the benefits. Others adopt some elements of the concept, such as making a pre-mix, using the right loading order, the right number of auger revolutions and adding water. In this way, it can be integrated into their business operations and they can benefit from some of the advantages of compact feeding.
Thanks to its unique mixing and cutting technology, the DOGO mixer wagon is highly suitable for compact TMR
The Storti Dogo model available in 22-25-28 m3 is the evolution of the Husky model: it has the same 3 augers mixing pattern, but with the following improvements:
Reinforced transmission suitable for heavy loads;
Mixing chopping auger with 1100 mm diameter that improves homogeneity and mixing flow, while drawing lower horsepower from the transmission;
Counter-rotating upper augers with blades;
2 independent chains for the upper augers (Husky is equipped with a single chain);
5-point weighing system for high loads;
Standard 12 mm tank bottom.
Independent and comparative tests made in Denmark, strong advocate of the Compact TMR since 2012, have shown that the most suitable mixer for this type of feeding is undoubtedly the 3-auger horizontal mixer due to its homogeneity of mix, extremely efficient unloading process and low power consumption.
The comparative test largely consisted of mixers using vertical technology versus our Storti horizontal mixer wagon.
The main defects of vertical mixing in the compact TMR, highlighted by the test are:
Higher power consumption due to the vertical flow that lifts the product; with high loads this leads to high wear and tear and the need to protect the transmission;
Excessive residues due to wet TMR sticking to the auger flights;
Failure to use the counter-blades as they obstruct the mixing flow;
TMR blocked to the side walls due to its stickiness.
The Dogo Storti wagon has demonstrated the following advantages in the use of compact TMR:
Mixing with fast and homogeneous flow in all 3 phases;
Low power consumption in relation to the loaded weight;
Complete unloading of the tank.
Always at the forefront in the development of innovative products and services and alongside our customers to respond quickly to their demands for performance and reliability, the Storti mixer wagons have once again passed the test!

### Overboost for optimal discharge of food into feed troughs
For efficient and fast emptying of the mix without compromising on fuel consumption.
The solution developed by Storti for perfect feed unloading
The overboost is the function that adds to the already extensive list of options available for the Dobermann range, with which it is possible to rapidly accelerate the rotation of the augers when unloading the feed into the feed troughs, an essential condition for the fast and complete emptying of the vertical mixer wagon.
Technically, vertical mixing has many advantages but also some disadvantages compared to horizontal mixing; usually the discharge into vertical feeders has a pulsating flow due to the frequency of the augers rotation, furthermore the large surface of the spiral ensures that there is always a quantity of product mixed inside, because the centrifugal force is not sufficient to overcome the friction with the spiral.
Completely emptying the mixer has proved to be fundamental especially in view of an organic or certified production, which requires to have the least contamination between one load and another.
On the basis of this need Storti has developed an innovative transmission scheme that combines the efficiency and reliability of a MechDrive mechanical transmission, a technical choice that has always been Storti's peculiar philosophy, with the possibility of having a rotation boost of the vertical augers up to 50 rpm, in order to guarantee easy emptying during the unloading phase.
The control unit developed internally in our R&D department, manages the operating logic of the transmission:
Coordinating the intervention of the main mechanical transmission and secondary hydraulics
Maximizing transmission efficiency
Reducing fuel consumption
Maintaining the unique advantages of reduced maintenance costs typical of the MechDrive mechanical transmission.
Overboost before and after
We invite you to ask your Storti dealer for a demo test of one of our vehicles with this option or to verify the possibility that your own Storti can receive this modification with an intervention from our Service department.
Good work and good emptying !!!
### 3 JUNE 2020: ITALY RESUMES ITS JOURNEY
Finally, after almost 3 months of isolation and sacrifices, on June 3rd Italy returned to be One, united and strong in recovering the path towards normality.
They were 3 long months , lived among fears and uncertainties; there was a lot of suffering, but also moments of great solidarity that now help us to look forward, towards a future of security.
Storti S.p.A. continued to operate throughout the lockdown period.
The whole structure of Storti S.p.A. has been active every day!
Our first thought was to help the continuity of the food supply chain, to be supporters to our customers, the farmers, who took care of their livestock providing the country with milk and meat even in the emergency.
Our activity has therefore continued, at a slightly slower pace, respecting the health of employees, customers and safety regulations. During this period, we made sure that our production and service were always available and operational.
Step 3: It will finally be possible to meet face to face again.
It hasn't been easy, but we have done it and now we look forward to Step 3 with enthusiasm and energy.
We look forward to seeing our customers and suppliers again, not just through a video, but in person, as we have always done.
It will be nice to meet again in the stable, see your herds, visit our dealers' workshops, and soon return to visit our importers' showrooms.
In these last 3 months we missed a lot working, and we miss you: we are now back and we intend to continue to take care of you with our usual commitment, but with the strength of those who know they have passed a difficult time.
Hello Italy, you've never been more beautiful!
See you soon.

### Storti France
The link between Storti S.p.A. and the French market dates back to the 1980's when, thanks to an agreement with Kuhn Agri, today's Kuhn Group, the first feed mixer manufactured in Belfiore arrived in France. Since then, the French market has changed a lot and so have the Storti feed mixer wagons: both have evolved in step with the times and with technology.
France is a reference point in Europe in animal husbandry: in the primary sector, livestock farming plays a major role. Its 19 million head of cattle are divided almost equally between beef cattle and dairy cows.
The organization of farms in France is peculiar: farms often decide to join in C.U.M.A., sharing machinery between members. It is estimated that in France in 2020 there were more than 11.000 C.U.M.A., with more than 200.000 members. Storti counts many C.U.M.A. among its customers, which use high speed self-propelled road vehicles for transfers between farms, ensuring fresh mix to their herds every day.
All the products of the Storti S.p.A. range find their natural place in this panorama: from the small horizontal trailed mixer wagons with silage cutter, to the big vertical two augers trailed wagons, to the self-propelled wagons homologated for road circulation.
In 2008 Storti S.p.A. decided that the time was right to create its own subsidiary in the territory: Storti France was born.
Storti France is located in Bain de Bretagne. From there we offer our technical and commercial support to the dealers and retailers with whom we collaborate throughout the country.
Among our reference customers there are farms and breeding farms of all kinds, with beef cows or fattening bulls, which use vertical and horizontal, trailed and self-propelled mixer wagons. Storti also serves sheep and goat farms.
Many machines are equipped with the renowned Storti silage loader. The Storti Fibre Pick Up System (FPS) is one of the best loading systems for grass silage, simple, structured, powerful and economical. Link.
At Storti, mixing quality is crucial. A homogeneous and fast mix is our priority.
Self-propelled technology is our passion. In this respect, Storti has a wide range of large and medium-sized machines with a modern chassis concept that allows safe driving speeds up to 40 km/h.
Our exclusive Mech Drive system offers the advantage of low maintenance costs and reliable performance throughout the life of the self-propelled mixer wagons. Mech Drive is the abbreviation for the mechanical transmission to the augers of the self-propelled mixer system. This system avoids the power losses that inevitably occur with hydrostatic transmissions. More engine power is converted into a powerful and fast mixing action. The advantage translates into substantial savings in fuel costs, especially on large-capacity machines. At the same time, maintenance of the self-propelled wagon remains simple, fast and economical. Link.
Throughout Europe, Storti sets the standard for economical and professional self-propelled machines for intensive use, both for contractors and large farms.
Service and maintenance are extremely important in animal husbandry. Storti France, thanks to its service department and its network of local partners, offers a widespread and timely service. The warehouse in Bain de Bretagne is regularly supplied with spare parts from the Italian parent company.

Why choose a self-propelled wagon? A self-propelled TMR mixer is certainly the most flexible and efficient solution in reducing the time spent on loading, mixing and unloading of the TMR. There are many reasons to switch to a self-propelled Storti. Below we list but a few:The self-propelled machine condenses the work of 4 vehicles – tractor, mixer wagon, silage unloader and telescopic loader, with a clear saving in maintenance costs, number of operators required to perform maintenance and, not least, time.A self-propelled machine is not a choice that binds you for the future, it adapts to all types of farms with no need for structural modifications. The efficient front cutter with FPS system guarantees the loading of all types of product accurately and rapidly, without damaging the product structureA self-propelled machine has significant residual value, even after many years of service. Management of all feeding procedures, comfortably seated in the cabin, with no need for switching from one vehicle to another. Our customers who have switched from trailed to self-propelled machines have reduced the time spent on feeding by 40%, and even improved the quality and accuracy of TMR production. What’s the difference between a horizontal and a vertical wagon? A mixer wagon is a tool that must be able to adapt to the farm needs, including: - type of farming, cattle, milk…- Available fodder, and type of preservation and storage- Farm manager habits and beliefs- Available workforce Having said this, there are many differences between horizontal and vertical mixing;- Cutting: the horizontal wagon is faster and cuts the fibrous ration cleanly.- Mixing and softness: the vertical wagon has a softer and more voluminous mix.- Unloading: the horizontal machine has a more constant and accurate flow, the vertical unloads with a pulsed flow.- Dimensions: horizontal wagons are generally lower and more compact, take advantage of the volume and have easier access to the rear.- Load capacity: while horizontal wagons have a size limit of about 24m³ and can adapt both to small and large mixes, vertical wagons can reach a volume of 44m³ but need a minimum amount that guarantees that augers are covered to ensure an efficient flow mix. Why is the Mech Drive mechanical transmission used? It’s a question of physics! Every transformation brings with it energy losses and the more that transformations take place in the transmission, the more energy losses there are. Now imagine that motion produced by a diesel engine is transformed into a flow of hydraulic oil which then circulates inside a circuit and is then reconverted into rotary motion by a hydraulic motor. This is what happens in hydraulic transmission and, as you can well imagine, all these transformations give rise to an enormous amount of lost energy, in heat, load losses and so on…Storti was the first to understand the importance of lowering operating costs and fuel consumption, which is why it has equipped the entire range with the highly efficient Mech Drive mechanical transmission which, unlike hydraulic transmissions, converts outgoing motion from the heat engine through a cascade gearbox, with minimal loss of horse power. This leads to appreciable savings in terms of fuel, a reduced quantity of hydraulic oil and extended times between maintenance. What is OVERBOOST? Overboost is a command placed in the cabin of our self-propelled machines that accelerates the rotation of the vertical augers. In practice, it is a cleaning cycle at the termination of unloading to prevent contamination between one load and the next. How does the FPS system work? The FPS, or Fibre Pick Up System, is one of the distinctive features of the cutters in Storti self-propelled machines which allows the efficient loading of all types of product by selecting the rotation of the cutter in a clockwise, or counter-clockwise, direction depending on the material to be loaded. With the FPS cutter, even the longest and most tenacious hay can be loaded by rotating the cutter upwards so as to lift the product and pre-cut it on the upper counter blade, so as to prevent locking the rotor during loading. Grass or corn silage is, however, loaded with a downward rotation of the rotor which, combined to a conveyor auger positioned behind the cutter, prevents the recycling effect of the spiral cutters. In this way the cutter blades cross the silage only once without damaging the structure of the corn. In practice, the cutter operates only as a scraper of the product, without cutting it further. What is the difference between the EVO and IIIa models? The European Commission has been committed to addressing the problem of polluting emissions since 1999 through Directive 97/68/EC. The Directive mainly focuses on PM (Particulate Matter) and NOx (Nitrogen Oxides), and has been defined and amended through the promulgation of several Stages. Stage IV entered into force in 2014 and provides for the near total elimination of NOx. This offers the opportunity to improve our approach to the environment, while continuing to provide high-performance machines. The EVO model is equipped with Stage IV engines as required by European standards, and also includes the management of all CAN bus technology commands that allows intelligent and automated command sequences, as well as diagnostics with clear messaging on display in the cabin. Dunker T1-T2-T3 S, L, Split… What is the difference? The difference between Dunker S and L is, first and foremost, the diameter of the vertical augers – S means Small (narrow base) and L stands for Large (wide base). Having two different diameters leads to many other technical differences such as:Reducers, gearbox and drive shafts – increasing the diameter also increases the size of the gearbox and of the entire transmission. The L model allows a lower machine to have the same cubic capacity. The chassis: the L model is clearly sized to reach a larger volume. Therefore, its chassis, axles, wheels and weighing system are sized accordingly. While the Split model is the S model with the partially removable tank to facilitate transport in containers, with this configuration savings on transport costs can be made How do I know how big I need my wagon to be? The required volume depends on the type of product to be loaded and its quantity and, depending on the type of recipe, results can vary greatly. For example, if we consider a TMR for standard European dairy cows with an average of about 5 kg of dry hay per head, we have a feeding capacity of about 7 head/m³. If, however, we consider a recipe for fattening where, on average, we have 0.9 kg of straw per head, we can supply up to 19/20 heads per m³. More accurate calculations may be performed by evaluating both the distributed recipes and the number of distributions to be made during the day. Our technicians are available to assess your needs

### Founder and History
It was the year 1956...
The history of Storti begins in January 1956 in the town of Belfiore in the province of Verona. From that moment on, the ingenuity of its founder, Ottorino Storti, propels the company towards an unstoppable growth that has led it to become a global benchmark in the field of agricultural mechanisation. Innovation has always been one of Storti's strengths.
Ottorino Storti. The genius.
During the troubled 40s, Ottorino Storti graduates as a technician and ends up working for the Germans for more than seven months. After the war, he returns to his family in Montagnana (PD), to work in his father's farming business. In this environment, his brilliant creative intuition begins to take shape, leading him to motorise everything in the company that is operated by hand, improving the performance of tractors and agricultural machinery. With this experience, he began working as a subcontractor in 1950. Towards the end of the summer of 1955, his cousin Giovanni Frigo suggests that he rent a workshop in Belfiore (VR), where the Ottorino Storti company was eventually established in January 1956. The first jobs were focused on repairing agricultural equipment and the management of an “Aquila” fuel pump, with which the workshop was supplied. Following this, Ottorino decides to produce a series of customised slurry tanks for pesticide treatment since the area contains a large number of orchards. In May, he was struck by a very serious illness, which would last until the end of 1956. During the long months of illness, however, the Belfiore workshop does not close because his cousin, Giovanni Frigo – wishing to continue Ottorino's dream – himself, manages the factory. After a crisis in the early 60s, business continues as usual. In 1966, Ottorino leaves the old rented company to build a new warehouse in Belfiore. Despite continuing efforts Ottorino’s finances look rather gloomy. The market of pesticide treatment equipment in the fruit-growing sector is now saturated. Truth be told, Ottorino is much more inventor than trader and, to pull himself out of the quagmire of stagnation, he begins to analyse the agriculture sector. At that time, several livestock farms had to deal with the need to extract corn silage from trench–bunk silos. It is 1967 and Ottorino Storti builds a prototype of a machine in a very short time that extracts corn silage with little effort, leaving a perfectly vertical surface that is smooth, compact and therefore favourable for a high degree of preservation. The excellent results lead to the invention being patented at the Chamber of Commerce in Verona and later, in all European countries. Moreover, since there is no classification category for this type of machine, Ottorino Storti invents a name: The “PLUTO” silage unloader. The innovative machine is received with great interest by farmers and traders alike, to the point that the well-known “Mengele & Steiner” in Bolzano decides to start a rather intense trade relationship with Ottorino Storti. A new machine is produced in 1968: the MASTINO grass fodder mixer wagon which stands out – compared to the first American mixer wagons – for the functionality of its new mixing tank, new mixing shaft and new transmission. “The idea of these mixer wagons was American,” says Ottorino in a recent interview, “The few Italian farmers who had used them, however, were not happy because they didn't work very well and had set them aside as a mistaken purchase. I then tried to study the case thoroughly and managed to understand its faults, to improve its features by designing a new mixing tank, a new mixing shaft and a new transmission.” The combination of the PLUTO silage loader and the MASTINO mixer wagon immediately becomes a winning combination – a single operator in just 30-40 minutes is able to feed a considerable number of cattle. To give you an idea of the utility of these two machines, consider that before the advent of these machines, feeding the same number of cattle required three or four people doing at least half a day's work. Its success is immediate, and sales grow steadily, marking the beginning of a trend that could no longer be curtailed. Given the success of these machines, Ottorino Storti definitively abandons the construction of slurry tanks for pesticide treatment and completely dedicates his time to the production of new machines for agriculture. Official recognition soon follows – during the 1973 Verona Agricultural Fair, the PLUTO silage loader is awarded a gold medal as the best technical innovation.
Grow, grow, grow
To tackle the imitations of the technique by a number of unscrupulous competitors but, more importantly, to satisfy the needs of the farmers, Ottorino files new patents, which still revolutionise the livestock feeding mechanisation system. In 1974, DESSILCAR was introduced, the first machine in the world capable of performing three functions: silage loading, mixing and distributing the feed to cattle. It is definitely a leap in quality – a single operator, with the assistance of a tractor and the 4 m³ Dessilcar, is able to feed up to 100 head of cattle in a very short time (approx. fifteen minutes), with a notable reduction in fatigue and management costs. The COCKER is next – a 1 m³ combined (silage unloader-mixer-spreader) machine – and the 3 m³ BRACCO. To be able to cope with the high number of orders for this type of machine, Ottorino Storti founds a new company with his brother, Antonio, in 1975 – FRASTO (Fratelli Storti) S.a.s. based in the town of Albaredo d’Adige (VR), which would produce machines for small farms. STORTI, however, specialises in building machines for medium to large livestock farms. Following the opening of the large, new English market where farmers add large quantities of long hay to shredded corn silage, Ottorino Storti designs and patents a new cutting auger with asymmetrical blades in 1979, which would be called the “Unifeed auger”. This invention, still subject to copying, would be the foundation of Storti’s future success in the construction of its mixer wagons. In early 1982, the disruption of the trade relationship with Mengele & Steiner led Ottorino Storti to formulate a new marketing strategy, a new machine list and a new sales network. Never satisfied, he also designed new machines by launching the first self-propelled mixing-silage unloading wagons on the market: the IDROALANO and IDROMASTINO. During this time, the company begins its own distribution of the range, including on an international scale, beginning with France and England and then moving on to Germany. Meanwhile at FRASTO, Paolo – one of Ottorino's sons - shows signs of an inventive spirit worthy of his father, with whom he develops a new machine destined to further revolutionise the silage unloader-mixer wagon sector – the Unifeed BOXER. This project employs an innovative feeding system for dairy cows called Unifeed, which is gaining ground because of its indisputable advantages. In essence, Unifeed consists of the simultaneous supply of all elements of the ration – corn silage, the staple feed, is supplemented by other components of the diet (grass silage, hay, flour etc.) that are suitably mixed by a cutter-mixer wagon. From a technical and economic point of view, the advantages that can be achieved by correctly utilising this technique may briefly be summarised as – increase in dry matter ingestion and better use of feed; improvement in milk production both in quantity and in quality; improvement in hygiene and health of cows; more efficient use of company by-products.

### Company
The history of Storti begins in January 1956 in town of Belfiore in the province of Verona. From that moment on, the ingenuity of its founder Ottorino Storti, propels the company on towards an unstoppable growth that has led the company to become a global benchmark in the field of agricultural mechanisation.
Storti is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of mixing wagons that are mainly used in th agriculture sector. The solutions, characterised by a high degree of know-how, reliability and cutting-edge performance are features that are widely recognised by the market and are the result of continual investment in research and development. Storti solutions assist farmers around the world in the improvement of their businesses, increase productivity and quality while reducing operating costs – in a world of fluctuating milk and raw material prices, efficiency and reduced energy costs are crucial in modern farm management. A company that has grown under the banner of innovation, which today positions itself in the market with a solid and dynamic structure, offering cutting-edge technological solutions.
The Group offers a wide range of products and is divided into 2 sections: Unifeed and Ecofarm, with the latter dealing with Farm Wellness and Biogas. The core business is the Unifeed branch, a feeding technique that originated in the United States in the early 50s. Unifeed is a homogeneous ration composed of long, cut fodder, concentrates, minerals, silage and all other feed included in the animal's diet that are mixed in such a way as not to allow the animal search and select what they ingest. A well-composed mixture permits an elevated concentration of energy by making the most of the interactions between the feed ingredients administered, strongly increases milk production and improves the yield of the meat and, at the same time, lowers the feeding costs. The company boasts a range of mixer wagons that are among the most complete on the market – horizontal and vertical, trailed, self-propelled and stationary. In Ecofarm, the Farm Wellness family is dedicated to providing solutions and equipment for animal welfare as this leads to a decrease in health care costs and increased livestock productivity. Ecofarm is a commercial enterprise which, in addition to the marketing of biogas products and a number of historical products (straw spreader, straw chopper, sweeper and motobrush), has recently signed several agreements with leading companies for the distribution of their products to capitalise on the Group's relationship networks.
Today, Storti is the Italian leader in the mixer wagon sector and one of the world's leading industries, as well as being the world's largest manufacturer of self-propelled mixer wagons. This has all been achieved due to the continuity of family values, handed down by its founder that have never faltered even with the inclusion of company management – continual innovation, long-term goals and human values that make the family model a bulwark in our region. More than sixty years later, following the humble beginnings in a modest workshop repairing agricultural equipment, Storti's numbers speak for themselves: 120 employees, over 100 models in production, more than 30,000 machines sold. With an extensive presence in Italy, a strong network of international partners, significant OEM agreements and 2 sales divisions in France and Germany, Storti confirms its international scope and well-established presence in 40 countries on 5 continents with an export volume equal to approximately 80% of its production. The plant is located in Verona Province and occupies 39,000 m2, of which 15,000 is covered.

### Sweeper
The Sweeper litter machine quickly and simultaneously cleans the end of the cubicle stall and renews the litter, considerably improving the hygiene of the stall, reducing work time and, therefore, operating costs. A rotating brush, which automatically adapts to changes in step height, removes dirt. A blade accurately cleans the bottom edge of the step, permanently moving away dirt. The litter is distributed using a belt system, positioned behind the driver's seat, which minimises the dispersal of dust into the environment
Self-loading rear box for the distribution of clean litter material (sawdust, wood chips, organic waste, chopped straw or rice husks) using a belt system that can reduce the dispersal of dust in the environment to a minimum.
### Motobrush
The motobrush brings the unifeed closer to the cattle, mixing it and maintains uniform moisture. It stimulates animals to feed at each step, increasing productivity and reducing unifeed waste. Moreover, it completely cleans the feeding ramp in the stall. The hydraulic drive with “load sensor” together with the wheel's ability to rotate 90° to the right and left, allows the machine to position itself completely with a radius of curvature of only 1.70 m. The machine can be equipped with a hydraulically operated side brush so that any residual food may be removed from the feeder during cleaning.
